Something along the lines of Raiden or Xenon. I discovered 1945 and wondered if it was an update of the 8 bit classic 1942. To my delight it is, okay this isn't the greatest or most original game in the world. It's a straight forward shoot em up that is insanely addictive. With various crafts with various powerups and smartbombs to help you blast away to oblivion. Both games are similar with 1945 part 2 having the edge and played in the original 2 player mode is best.
