Following the critical and commercial success of the release of Patrician 2 in 2001, Ascaron proudly announces the release of Patrician III.

Patrician III is a real-time trading simulation featuring elements of construction and the historical background of maritime trade in Northern Europe during the 1300’s.

As a resident of a medieval town, your goal is to rise from the status of a simple, insignificant trader to that of a Patrician and perhaps even become the head of the Hanseatic League.

Start off as a shopkeeper with one ship buying and selling in your town and others in the hanse. The more money you make and the higher your reputation in your town (as well as others) will afford you higher titles and privileges such as building workshops to increase production to trade more. You can raise your standing through town improvement and diplomacy or fill your coffers through piracy and smuggling. Not just a trading simulation anymore as you can play a role in politics and work your way from a lowly shopkeeper to Lord Mayor to Alderman.
