Dropship: United Peace Force - PS2 Game

Play Station 2 game Dropship: United Peace Force

Dropship: United Peace Force is a big, ambitious combined-arms action game set in 2050, where you pilot the most advanced VTOL aircraft ever built into hot spots around the globe. If you enjoy the vehicle variety of Battlefield or the thrill of piloting Halo's Pelican, this delivers that "fly it in, then fight on the ground" fantasy as a full PS2 campaign.

In the year 2050, a wave of terrorist attacks has led the world's major nations to form the United Peace Force, replacing the UN and NATO. As a new recruit to its Dropship squadron, you're sent to flashpoints from China to the Middle East to South America. The dropship has two flying modes: hover for gentle take-offs and landings, and flight mode that handles like a fast jet. The PS2's analog buttons give you smooth control over speed, so you can ease in carefully or surge ahead when the action heats up.

Missions rarely stay simple. Objectives often change mid-level, so you may drop off or pick up cargo, deploy ground vehicles, then switch straight to air combat. Your wingmen and ground forces rely on your guidance, and you'll fight in a variety of vehicles, making each of the 20 lengthy missions feel like a real operation.

Features:

• 20 missions across global conflict zones
• Three dropship types: Assault, Defender and Lifter, each with its own strengths
• Hover and flight modes for precise landings and fast air combat
• Drive tanks, buggies and armoured vehicles as well as flying
• Wingmen, ground forces and a copilot supporting your missions
• Large, detailed photorealistic terrain
• Analog control over acceleration and deceleration

A great pick for fans of military action and vehicle combat who like variety and a bit of strategy mixed in.
