You are looking at Play Station One game Blaze & Blade - The Eternal Quest.

Action game kept in the fantasy convention set in the world of Foresia. The northern part of the continent, which used to be a flourishing province, was destroyed by an uncontrolled explosion of magical energy. Since then, the Foresii area has been called a forbidden country. Rumour has it that there are still magical creatures and lost treasures. Attracted by this vision, adventurers go to Foresiya to discover its secrets.

The game takes place in real time in a complex, animated 3D environment consisting of many polygons (both the whole environment and characters). The player creates his own team by choosing from eight character classes: Dwarf, Fee, Elf, Sorcerer, Cleric, Ranger, Thief and Warrior. Each character has its own advantages and disadvantages, e.g. a cleric casts spells well, but a gore uses weapons.

Each of the four characters can be controlled by a single player in multiplayer mode or by a computer in single player mode. You can start the game in single player mode and then let your friends join the same game. In single player you can choose each time which of the available characters you want to lead. Once visited, you can come again to gain interesting items and experience. It is also possible to exchange items between players.

You are looking at Play Station One game Digimon World.

File Island was once a bustling place, where Digimon gathered, talked, and lived in peace. Suddenly, File Island is abandoned, and the Digimon can no longer speak. You have been sucked into the Digiworld to find out what is happening. The first step on that quest is to train a Digimon. Feed it, rest it, and take your new friend to the toilet. Whenever something needs to be done, it will let you know with convenient thought balloons. If your Digimon disobeys, then scold it, but remember, praise can go a long way as well. After getting the creature under control, use it to battle the wild Digimon and return them to File Island. Will you be able to return all of the Digimon to File Island? Who is responsible for all these strange occurrences? These questions and many others are answered in DIGIMON WORLD.

Digimon World takes the player back to the genre's Tamagotchi beginnings: rearing the little monsters, giving them praise and encouragement, testing and exercising, training them for combat, the quest ahead and, of course, using the toilet. Combat and bonus game exercises ultimately develop and 'digivolve' the Digimon, allowing the player to progress through a lavish and colourfully pre-rendered DigiWorld, to save it from destruction at the hand of good Digimon turned bad...

Explore massive, adventurous realms with your own Digimon. You'll interact with hundreds of characters - both good and evil - during your quest, so you'll want to prepare your Digimon for nonstop battle action. Digimon World features lifelike 3-D character animation set against hand-drawn 2-D environments.

For 1 or 2 players.

You are looking at Play Station One game Monster Rancher.

'Creating and training monsters to fight may seem like a strange premise, but you'll be hard pressed to find a more original title. 9/10!' - IGN

MONSTER RANCHER is the ultimate interactive experience. The game disc actually reads a small portion of any CD you put into your PlayStation, and uses that data to generate a monster. Some CDs will yield giant dragons, while others will give you smaller and less threatening beasts. After you create a monster, you then must train it in the ways of the monster pugilist. You control every aspect of the monster's training, from what it eats to what attributes it will be focus on improving. Monsters can be frozen for later use, or even combined with other monsters to form hybrid creatures that possess different abilities. The point of the game is to become the champion monster breeder, and there are rankings that give you an idea as to where you stand. Most of MONSTER RANCHER consists of point-and-click menus, with the exception of the fights themselves. There are two different options for fighting: you can let the computer control your beast or you can take manual control of it yourself.

Features:
* YOU'RE THE MASTER: fully interact with your new pets

You are looking at Play Station One game Guardian's Crusade.

A young boy named Knight is sent on a routine assignment by the mayor of his home town. His best friend, a fairy girl named Nehani, joins him. Together, they find a little pink monster whom they call Baby. Shortly afterwards, Knight has a vision: a mysterious voice tell him that they should go to a place called 'God's Tower', where they can find Baby's mother. On their way, the three encounter people and groups with different agendas, and eventually begin to put the pieces of the puzzle together and discover the source of evil.

Guardian's Crusade - or Knight & Baby, as it was originally called - is a Japanese-style role-playing game with turn-based combat. A notable feature of the game is a seamless 3D world, without the transitions from 'world map' to individual locations or hostile areas to towns, as it is the case in most comparable games. The game has not random battles: all the enemies are visible during exploration, and can be avoided or bypassed silently. Lower-level enemies will flee when they see the protagonist's party.

During his journey, Knight will find so-called Living Toys, mechanical creatures that can assist him in battles. There are many types of Living Toys - offensive, supportive, healing, and those that can be used outside of combat. Using a Living Toy drains Knight's special PP (psychic points) meter.

"Never before have technology, playability, and narrative combined as well as in Final Fantasy VII. 9.5/10!" - Gamespot

The RPG genre was never really considered a mainstream or popular genre - that is, until the release of Final Fantasy VII on PlayStation. With Final Fantasy VII's historic release on PlayStation in June of 1997, role-playing games were finally given the respect that they deserved and the RPG genre is now one of the most significant and defining on every system.

Gamers familiar with Squaresoft's popular Final Fantasy series should have little trouble grasping the seventh title's action-packed, role-playing game play. However, Final Fantasy VII's excellent documentation and intuitive controls ensure that beginners won't feel overwhelmed.

Players assume the role of Cloud Strife, a defector of Shinra, the evil corporation maintaining control over the planet. As the game opens, Cloud joins 'Avalanche,' a resistance group determined to foil the corporation's diabolical plans. Final Fantasy VII features an extremely complex story line, offering many hours of game play (over 60 minutes of impressive cinematic sequences are also included).

The first Final Fantasy title for PSone is an unmitigated classic, a truly epic title that spans three CDs of finely crafted storytelling and deep RPG action. With a huge world to explore, hundreds of characters to interact with and a myriad of sub-games and side quests, Final Fantasy VII will tax your mind, your reflexes and even your heart. It's a truly unforgettable experience.

You are looking at Play Station One game Dragon Valor.

Dragon Valor provides the narrative structure of role-playing games and combines it with the fighting action of adventure games.

The Dragon Valor has only one purpose in life: to stand before a dragon and slay it in glorious battle. Take the role of Clovis as he seeks revenge on the dragon that killed his sister. However, the story does not end with vengeance extracted; Clovis falls in love and has a son. In the next chapter of the game, you will take control of the son and lead him on an adventure as the epic story of DRAGON VALOR branches from generation to generation. Fight your way through levels using a magical sword that is passed down through the successive generations of the family.

You are looking at Play Station One game Final Fantasy Origins.

The two-game collection that almost completely remakes the original Final Fantasy, and the formerly Japan-only release Final Fantasy II, Final Fantasy Origins for PlayStation One is one of the most in-depth Sqare remake collections yet. Final Fantasy and Final Fantasy II were the foundation of console RPGs as we know them today and are finally available together for the very first time on PlayStation.

In Final Fantasy, four warriors of light, each possessing a special crystal, are summoned to bring harmony back to a world threatened by an evil entity intent on conquering it. Together, the warriors battle hideous creatures and travel across the world in order to restore order and peace.

In Final Fantasy II, the emperor of Palamecia launches a campaign for world domination. In response, a rebel force rises in the kingdom of Fynn; in the ensuing clash, the rebels are forced to retreat to the remote town of Altair. Among them, four childhood friends find themselves orphaned, homeless and running for their lives. They are the only hope for the rebels and their struggle against the evil Palamecian empire.

Both games contain all-new features. Saving is no longer restricted to certain locations with the addition of the Memo File function. Multiple gameplay modes allow players to customize game difficulty when beginning a new quest. CG movies and stills have been added throughout the game, taking the story to new cinematic heights. Improved sound quality, new opening themes, and an added art gallery deepen the game experience.

Release Date: April 9, 2003
