Legasista - Japanese PS3 Game

Play Station 3 game Legasista

Legasista is a deep and charming dungeon-crawling action RPG from NIS America on PS3, blending trap-filled roguelike exploration with vibrant anime aesthetics and an extensive character customisation system. For fans of NIS titles like Disgaea or dungeon crawlers in the vein of Cladun, this is a rewarding and content-rich adventure that surprises with its depth.

The story follows Alto, a determined young man whose sister Mari has been transformed into a crystal by an ancient curse. Searching for a relic powerful enough to undo the spell, Alto ventures into a mysterious tower where he meets Melize - an amnesiac android who becomes his unlikely ally as the two climb ever higher in search of answers. The story is charming and well told, with top-notch Japanese voice acting bringing the colourful cast to vivid life. The crisp, vibrant HD character art is a genuine highlight, full of kawaii personality and variety.

The game is essentially two adventures in one - the Ivy Tower offers carefully designed dungeon floors emphasising planning, trap navigation, and puzzle solving, while the Ran-Gens throw savage waves of monsters at you in a brutal survival roguelike experience. Both styles reward careful thinking over button mashing, with traps, poison types, and enemy behaviours all demanding tactical awareness. Losing all your health points sends you back to base without your loot, keeping every dungeon run tense and meaningful.

The character customisation system is a genuine standout - create your own custom characters using a built-in paint tool or import artwork from a USB stick, even replicating your favourite anime or game characters. Random dungeon generation ensures every session feels fresh, and the depth of systems on offer gives dedicated players hundreds of hours to dig into.
