While you play, international soccer commentators John Motson, Des Lynam, and Andy Gray provide play-by-play and color commentary. All of the players on the field are realistic as well, thanks to 'Motion Blending' technology - a combination of motion capture technology and rendering tools that allows the players to look more natural and have fluid movements. Multi-coloured goalie jerseys and numbers embossed on the back of the uniforms are only a couple of graphical touches that heighten the true-to-life nature of the game. All of the realism of FIFA SOCCER '97 will have you reaching for your soccer cleats.

You can play a league or cup tournament, and practice your skills before playing. The game can be tailored to action or simulation style, with fouls, injuries and offsides available to toggle on or off. This version also includes a 6 vs 6 indoor play mode, and various multiplayer options
