Guilty Gear X2 is a new sequel in the mega-popular 2D fighting series set in the 22nd century. The discovery of a new sustainable energy dubbed Magic is expected to eradicate polluting and conflict-inducing technologies. Instead, Magic is used to create terrible biological weapons called gears. Guilty Gears X2 revives the fighting tournament designed to find humans skilled enough to thwart the Gear threat and give the world a fighting chance.

An upgraded port of the PlayStation 2 game, the Xbox Guilty Gear features a new story mode not found in the original in which battles are preceded by dialogue and events, overhauled animations, as well as extra movies in the gallery mode. Each character has his own story. The other modes of play from the PlayStation 2 version are carried over as well.

The entire cast from the previous instalment returns, along with four all new characters, each with a blistering array of special moves and all beautifully realised in some of the most critically acclaimed artwork and animation in contemporary gaming.
