IL 2 Sturmovic Forgotten Battles introduces you to one of the fiercest aerial battles of World War 2. Between June 1941 and May 1945 the air forces of Germany, Hungary, Finland and the USSR fought in the sky for domination.

Forgotten Battles is the standalone sequel to IL-2 Sturmovik. It is a WWII flight simulator focusing on the Eastern Front. You fly as a either Fighter or Bomber Pilot for one of several nations participating in battles on the Eastern Front. There are dozens of realistically modelled planes to fly and even more that you can fly against. The flight model is very realistic and the damage model influences the flight as much as the visual appearance of your plane. Missions are generated randomly in the campaigns but there are also single missions to choose from. The campaigns are dynamic and played from the perspective of a single person. One can also fly missions and skirmishes in multiplayer.

There are 30 new flyable aircraft, 20 new single-player missions, 10 new multiplayer missions, and 8 new maps. New dynamic campaign system, improved AI, new vehicles and ground objects, new special effects. New engine management system relating to radiators, superchargers and fuel mixture control for different altitudes. New ships including the Russian battleship Marat, Russian cruisers Aurora and Kirov and German cruiser Niobe. Play up to 32 players online in dogfight and in cooperative modes!
