Invictus is a real time 3D strategy/RPG game based on Greek mythology.

The gods are fighting and you are at the midst of it all. Recruit the services of the strongest heroes in your landmark struggle for an eternal rule in INVICTUS: IN THE SHADOW OF OLYMPUS. Order Hercules to cause devastating earthquakes or Cadmus to raise additional troops from the dead. Choose your war party with the utmost care and cunning - recruit new members from 30 distinct units like Gorgons and Harpies and then rule Mount Olympus forever!!

You start out controlling two heroes who progress through the game by earning experience and money that can be used to buy units (such as spearmen, gorgons, etc.). Each hero has an inventory and you can often search dead enemies for items such as health apples, etc. and an adjustable aggression level to adjust your interaction to NPCs.

The main game consists of a dynamic campaign. You play Odysseus and must guide him through a series of missions as a result of a wager between the gods. Other legendary heroes become members of your party and each character has their own special skills. The game employs average 3D graphics. The violent nature of the game is potentially unsuitable for the younger gamer.
