Mace Griffin: Bounty Hunter - PS2 Game

You are looking at Play Station 2 game Mace Griffin: Bounty Hunter

Mace Griffin: Bounty Hunter is a genre-blending sci-fi action game on PS2 that combines third-person on-foot shooting with dedicated space combat sections, following a framed cop turned bounty hunter seeking revenge across the galaxy. For fans of ambitious genre mashups, this offers real variety in its gameplay.

On foot, Mace fights his way through corridors and space stations using a solid arsenal of weapons and gadgets, with a decent cover system and enemy variety keeping combat engaging. Switching to his ship for dedicated dogfighting sections adds a completely different pace and skillset, letting you take down enemy craft and complete objectives from the cockpit before returning to ground combat.

While the game received mixed reviews for uneven pacing between its two gameplay styles, the ambition of blending on-foot action with space combat in a single package was genuinely notable for its era. A worthwhile pickup for sci-fi action fans who enjoy variety in their combat.

Zero-gravity space combat sections let you freely manoeuvre your ship in three dimensions while boarding and disabling enemy vessels, giving the space combat half of the game real tactical texture beyond simple point-and-shoot dogfighting. The noir-tinged sci-fi story and Mace's gruff, world-weary characterisation give the whole adventure a distinctive B-movie charm. A worthwhile pickup for sci-fi action fans who enjoy variety in their combat.
