Pride FC: Fighting Championships - PS2 Game

You are looking at Play Station 2 game Pride FC: Fighting Championships

Pride FC: Fighting Championships brings the raw, no-holds-barred atmosphere of Japan's famous PRIDE mixed martial arts events to the PS2. If you enjoyed the UFC games of the era, such as UFC: Throwdown, this takes that same striking-and-grappling formula and adds the big-event theatre that made PRIDE legendary.

More than 25 real fighters are on the roster, including MMA legends like Kazushi Sakuraba, Wanderlei Silva, Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira, Ken Shamrock, Dan Henderson and Gary Goodridge. Each is recreated with their own look, fighting style and signature moves, and the matches look and sound just like a PRIDE event. Fighters make authentic ring entrances with flashing lights, fireworks and crowd reactions, are introduced in both Japanese and English, and walk out to the event's real entrance music.

In the ring, you can trade strikes standing up or take the fight to the ground. Hundreds of moves, counters and reversals, multiple fighting positions, standing and back clinches and a range of submission holds give fights real strategy, and a strong enough hit can drop an opponent without leaving them helpless, so any bout can turn in a heartbeat. The Create-a-Fighter mode lets you build your own fighter and customise everything from appearance and fighting style to entrance music.

Features:

• Over 25 real PRIDE fighters, including Sakuraba, Silva and Nogueira
• Five modes: Exhibition, Grand Prix, Tournament, Survival and Training
• Create-a-Fighter, with custom looks, styles and entrance music
• Authentic ring entrances and English and Japanese introductions
• Striking, clinches, ground fighting and submissions
• Two-player head-to-head fights

A great pick for MMA fans and anyone who remembers the golden era of PRIDE
