Rise of the Triad: Dark War - '95 PC Game
This product will be available for sale in 2 weeks, but you can pre-order now to receive 10% discount!
Rise of the Triad: Dark War
You are part of an elite group of operatives called HUNT (High-risk United Nations Taskforce), and you must stop a maniac cult leader from killing millions of people. While scouting a remote island, you are suddenly surrounded by enemy troops with guns blaring. In the distance you see your boat--your only chance to escape--explode into matchsticks. In front of you is a huge fortress monastery, and your only chance to stop the madness. You are equipped with awesome, high-tech weaponry like heat-seeking missiles, split missiles, and the Flamewall cannon, which leaves a trail of charred skeletons in its wake. You'll also find magical instruments and weapons so incredible they defy description.
Rise of the Triad was initially, during its early stages of development, meant to serve as the sequel to Wolfenstein 3D, titled Wolfenstein 3D II: Rise of the Triad. The presence of the MP40 sub machinegun and the outfits worn by the enemies are allusory to Nazi Germany and imply the original aforementioned intent for the development of Rise Of The Triad.
Choose one of five racially diverse agents, pick up tons of outrageous weapons, and get ready to deal with crazed enemies, jump pads that send you flying, glass sheets to jump through, and 'Elevated Gravitational Anomaly Devices' (EGADs). When you've had enough of the single-player modes, move on to the multiplayer section of the game. Rise Of The Triad was also one of the most multi-player friendly games on the market at the time of its release, with several different game modes in addition to the standard deathmatch and 'Capture the Triad'. The multiplayer mode, known as 'Comm-bat', also featured unique multi-player only maps and very frenetic action.
This game may require compatibility mode or DOSbox to run on newer computers - but I will provide assistance on getting this set up if required :)
