Sky Surfer is a skydiving sports game on PS2, offering one of the only virtual skydiving experiences available on the platform. Developed by Toka and published by Midas Interactive Entertainment, this is a niche title for players drawn to the unique premise of free-fall aerobatics and parachute navigation rather than traditional extreme sports.

The game offers two primary gameplay modes. Dive to Air is the main competition mode, split into two distinct phases - first a free-fall aerobatics section where you perform tricks and stunts while plummeting from altitude, followed by a parachute navigation phase where you must steer yourself to a precise landing point on the ground below. Balloon Beat is a separate mini-game mode, using a high-powered wind tunnel to simulate the parachute navigation experience in a more contained setting, challenging you to float through a series of balloons for points.

Three playable characters offer slightly different handling characteristics - Ryo is heavy and strong, Mai is light and nimble, and Harvey sits comfortably between the two. Six branded boards add a further layer of personalisation, and three difficulty-tiered courses introduce increasingly challenging air currents, with the hard course requiring precise give-and-take with both analogue sticks to compensate for turbulence.
