Sports Island 3 - Wii Game

The long awaited third instalment in the popular sports Iceland Series has arrived. Up to four players can battle with and against each other in 10 All New Sports.

If there's one thing the Wii has taught us all, it's that there's nothing wrong with having a bit of physical exertion when playing games with your friends. Naturally, on the back of this the theme of many titles that help bring the family together in this way is Sports. But surely we've covered almost every sport on the planet on this console?

As you can see in Sports Island 3, there's still plenty of fun activities that have a whole new dimension added when translated on the Wii. Up to four players can compete with one another in several new sports, including springboard diving, indoor volleyball, giant slalom, raquetball, air racing, kayaking, lacrosse, logging, halfpipe and fencing.

When you want to get tribal about your indoor tournament, you can use the Team Editor option to create names, colours, emblems and attributes of team members. And as you would expect, the Wii Remote is primarily used for the games on offer here, but the experience can be made much more intuitive with the addition of the MotionPlus accessory.

And if you don't have any friends, or the family's not over for tea, you can hop online using the Nintendo WiFi Connection and play a round of sports with other gamers over the internet.
