Street Sk8er was one of the first skateboarding games to hit the PlayStation. It is much simpler than its genre brother Tony Hawk's Pro Skater, with a simpler way of performing tricks and more linear stage design. What it does bring to the table though is a tailor made licensed soundtrack with artists such as H2O, Less Than Jake and I Against I, and some hidden characters and stages to unlock as the player progresses through the game. There are different characters, boards and stages to choose from.

Perform over 200 skateboarding tricks and see how agro you can get in Street Skater. Choose from four different boarders TJ, Jerry, Ginger, and Frankie each rated in jump power, cornering, maximum speed, and acceleration. When you are ready to play, practice your moves in the Freestyle mode or try to win a contest in the Street Tour mode. If your friends want to play, you can challenge them to a contest with the Versus mode. With Street Skater, you can go skateboarding without a helmet.
