The gameplay consists of point-and-click exploration as well as scenes that require shooting or other actions that must be performed within a time limit. The story fits right into the X-FILES continuity, with references to many of the conspiracies and mysteries straight from the show. There are hours of dialogue and full-motion video to help tell the story and immerse you in the game. Each scene lives up to the high standards of the show, with awesome acting and production values; even some of the sets from the show are used!
