As Garrett, a cynical and world-weary master thief, you must make use of stealth and intellect to complete your missions. You live in an ancient city of a fictional past where magic and primitive technology coexist uneasily. Your victims are the city's corrupt and privileged nobility, whose wealth is at your disposal as long as their guards don't see you, at least not until it is too late.

Thief 2: The Metal Age (8.6/10):
Thief 2 keeps much of the same gameplay and abilities from the original Thief: The Dark Project but offers a few new toys. Among them are scouting orbs; which can be thrown to see around corners and flash mines. Garrett's main weapons are his sword, his blackjack and an assortment of arrows, each with a special power. Each level features a variety of objectives as well as several items which don't belong to you, but are nonetheless valuable and can be stolen.

Thief 3: Deadly Shadows (8.3/10):
Garrett is rarely seen, never caught and capable of breaking into the most ingeniously secured places. Garrett steals from the wealthy and gives to himself, making his living in the dark and foreboding City. Preferring to be left alone to ply his trade, prophecies of an impending Dark Age dictate a different plan for the thief.
