Real-time strategy game set on a planet populated by four races, each with their own characteristics, and is premised on a rebellion and the ensuing conflict. Both conventional technology and magic play an important part in the game. The single-player game includes four campaigns, one for each group, consisting of seven missions. There is also a multi-player mode for up to eight via modem/serial link or LAN. The gameplay involves resource management, development of your forces and new technology, as well as combat. Unit types include workers, scouts, warriors and magic users. The interface and graphics are effective.

This game is set some years after the original conflict and the four races have now divided into three groups, the Overlords, Descendants and the Servants Under NagaRom. Also, a group of human marines have been transported to the planet and are also vying for dominance. Each group has its own strengths and weaknesses such as burrowing, flying, swimming and stealth. There are many different types of unit and brawn, technology and magic play important parts in the game, as well as a good variety of terrain types.
