This game is a mix of interactive movie and space sim. The game has a dynamic mission tree, which means that you can choose with your behaviour how the next mission will be. The videos feature real actors, like Mark Hamill, Tom Wilson, John Rhys-Davis and Malcolm McDowell. Before the start of each mission you can equip your space craft with different weapons. Sometimes the mission objectives change during flight, and you have to make decisions what you want to do next: e.g. help your friend out or destroy an enemy fighter.
WCIV takes the series to new heights. Improved graphics and sound as well as an increase in the use of Full Motion Video (FMV). Nearly forty interactive decision trees over four dozen missions will give way to several different endings (some good, some bad). Now that the Terran-Kilrathi war has ended, the Confederation is looking to keep peace in the galaxy. Unfortunately, civil wars keep cropping up and players are called upon to stamp out the growing number of fires. Unfortunately, the Confederation may not prove strong enough to withstand all this unrest.

While this older game may be perfect for a gamer with an older PC, it game may require using DOSbox to run on newer computers - but I will provide assistance on getting this set up if required :)
