You can choose from four playable races — human, troll, elf, and goblin — each with their own stats, and bring up to two companions along for the journey, each with their own backstories and abilities. There are tons of upgrades, skills, and spells to spend experience points on, and the constant drip of new weapons and armour keeps the loot loop satisfying throughout. Frequent levelling and plentiful, varied loot give Silverfall a strong momentum that keeps you pushing forward through its sprawling world. 

The cel-shaded character models are remarkably colourful and detailed, giving the game a distinct visual style that stands out on the PSP.
