The set up is this: in the near-ish future the island 'paradise' of New Providence is a hellhole of towering buildings and electric vehicles in the grip of gangsters, corporate psychopaths and butchers. It's home to the highly secretive and most certainly nefarious TerraNova Worldwide. Clustered around a mysteriously-reignited volcano, these ne'er-do-wells are exploiting every resource - material and human - on the island. It's up to you to loosen their grip and, ideally, break their fingers while you're at it.

As with previous games, Crackdown 3 offers a huge open world for you to destroy at your liberty. Having super powers and super weapons that you can constantly upgrade helps, of course. The competition begins with four groups of four teams who play each other once. The top two sides in each group qualify for the next stage and carry their result against each other forward to the Super 8 stage, a single group of the eight remaining nations.

The two sides from each first round group do not play each other again in the round, but do play against each of the other six teams. The top four countries at the end of this round qualify for the semi-finals, with the winners reaching the final in Barbados.

Pressure Play also benefits from an emphasis on new 'burst-play' cricket challenges, befitting the PSP's portability. The Pressure Play Mission is a new game mode consisting of bite-sized challenges that cover every aspect of cricket.
