The longest-running basketball series in video game history is back yet again. This collection of high-flying action features all of the real NBA teams and players, pixel-perfect stadiums, and more motion-capture animation than you'll be able to handle. Choose to play as any one of the current (circa 2001) 31 NBA squads, or make up your own team. You can even create players deciding on everything from hairstyle and facial features to offensive awareness and leaping ability. As in previous installments, you can opt to call offensive and defensive sets from a comprehensive playbook, or just run and gun. Play single games, full seasons, playoffs, and more. There's a One-on-One mode that lets you test out any NBA match-up, and a full roster of classic players from years gone by. This installment looks and feels more like a highlight reel than the live-broadcast style of previous NBA LIVE games.
