New York Race - PS2 Game

You are looking at Play Station 2 game NYR: N.Y. Race.

Racing game entry, based on Luc Besson's science fiction movie The Fifth Element.

Have you always dreamed of being in Korben Dallas's shoes as he shakes off the police in the labyrinthine sprawl of New York in 2215? Well, that dream is now a reality: climb behind the wheel of the famous taxi and take part in a breathless 500 km/h race set in the New York of the Fifth Element.

You are catapulted into heart-stopping aerial races, from the city's seediest slums to the top of the most luxurious skyscrapers. Get behind the wheel of high-speed cars and flying machines and experience the thrill of 3D racing on 12 spectacular urban 'circuits' from 4 different districts. You will discover numerous obstacles, both fixed or moving that you must be sure to miss by a hair's breadth to avoid spectacular crashes!

3-dimensional action allows you complete freedom of movement on a vertical axis as well as horizontally using a new and unique gaming dynamic. New York Race gives your imagination free rein. There are more than 25 high-tech flying machines to choose from, of three different sorts, including the famous taxi and the police car. Whatever category, each car has its own features: speed, acceleration, braking, vertical and horizontal manoeuvrability, weight. In every race, you can pick up 4 bonus points which give you an added advantage: to slow up an opponent, to damage the nearest opponent's vehicle, to protect against collisions and to boost.

Featuring all the characters from the film, NYR: New York Race serves up high-speed racing action in the futuristic version of New York City!
