Sony's PlayStation puts you ringside in the ultimate 3-D boxing bonanza. As one of 16 eccentric characters, you'll clobber your opponents using an unlimited number of no-holds-barred punch combinations for both realistic and over-the-top boxing styles. Motion-captured movement and 115 individual facial expressions give remarkable detail to the fight. Land that trusty left hook and watch your opponent's face contort with pain and swell with contusions. Ready 2 Rumble: Boxing is one heavy-hitting powerhouse of a game, giving you ultra-realistic, arcade-style boxing action. And it doesn't even hurt.

There are two different modes of play. You can jump right into the action and play against either the computer or a friend in the Arcade mode. When you play against the computer, you'll progress through the ranks, culminating in a battle with a world-class boxer. The Championship mode is the meat of the single-player game, where you'll have to work your way through three classes. Along the way you will fight for cash prizes and then spend the cash to pay for training, which takes form in a series of mini-games. Doing well in the mini-games rewards you with higher bonuses for your stats. Move through the ranks in the Championship mode unlocks more boxers.
