Featuring Chan's signature moves, voice and humour, players guide the stuntmaster through 15 levels of martial arts mayhem to save his grandfather and retrieve a stolen package from a gang of crooks. Luckily, Jackie is a Kung Fu master and has no problem with punches and kicks. He can also perform signature moves like running up walls, cartwheel kicks and even Drunken Master Kung Fu style. All of the moves are authenticated, thanks to the motion-captured sessions with Jackie Chan himself. You and up to three of your friends choose from these characters (each with their own special moves and rage attacks), and try to find Angela in the Urban Fighters mode. Contender is an arcade-style boxing game which features an Exhibition mode, a VS. mode, a Main Event mode, and a Tournament mode.

The exhibition mode lets the player pick a boxer and fight a computer boxer. The VS. mode lets two players slug it out in the boxing ring against each other. The tournament mode lets the player compete in a tournament.

The Main Event mode lets the player pick one of eight different boxers, each with their own set of skills (life, power, speed and endurance), and work their way through the ranks (Local, National and World) by defeating 40 different boxers in order to win the World Championship. If the player is good enough to actually win the World Championship, they then have to defend their belt against numerous challengers. Players can improve their skills by winning matches and training between matches by sparring with their trainer. Advancing through this mode also unlocks boxers for the exhibition mode.

In the ring, each boxer can throw punches like jabs, upper-cuts, hooks, and crosses, and is also able to duck and weave and block high and low while on defense.

WCW Mayhem, the first wrestling title published by Electronic Arts, present key features that set it apart from all of the other wrestling games on the market. EA knew they needed to create a brand new engine if they desired to compete in the competitive world of Wrestling entertainment. EA did just that by adding features never seen before in a game, the ability to fight backstage, in a garage and all kinds of odd places that help make the sport of wrestling admired across the nation.

Over 50 professional wrestlers from World Championship Wrestling are included, although you'll need to play through the "Quest for the Best" mode to unlock them all.

"Quest for the Best" has you advancing through three divisions in an attempt to win the TV title, the U.S. title, and the WCW Heavyweight Championship. You can compete on various levels of difficulty and unlock hidden wrestlers along the way.

Additional options include a "Quick Start" game, a "Main Event" match, and the ability to design custom grapplers in the "Create Wrestler" mode. As the title suggests, WCW Mayhem is not limited to the confines of the ring. Thirteen backstage areas are available, including locker rooms, boiler rooms, first-aid rooms, and hallways. Various weapons are also included for use against your opponent, from tasers and baseball bats to standard chairs and trashcans.

Individual matches can be customized to include the following types of play: Singles, or one-on-one fights; Handicap, where a single player takes on a two-wrestler tag team; Triangle, which pits three wrestlers against each other; Four Way Dance, where four wrestlers fight to be the last man standing; Battle Royal, which involves throwing as many wrestlers over the ropes as possible; and Tag Team, which is a two-on-two contest.
