Working for a syndicate, you must control various cyborg henchmen that carry out a variety of dirty deeds. Command & Conquer developed ideas from Westwood's previous Dune 2, forming a real time strategy game which has influenced many. The game focuses on a war between two organizations, The Brotherhood of Nod and the Global Defense Initiative. You can take control of either side for more than 15 missions. Both have different units and structures, including artillery, tanks and light infantry.

In most missions you have to build a base first to build new units and structures. Most important are the special harvesters, which collect Tiberium and deliver it to a refinery, where it's converted into money - money which is needed to create additional units.

The game also features FMV mission briefings and victory cutscenes.

The two sides are the evil Brotherhood of NOD (a criminal organization) and the Global Defense Initiative (a UN force). You get to play both sides and fight it out various scenarios. Worms is a turn based artillery game, similar to other early games in the genre such as Scorched Earth. The game is set on a two-dimensional field. The players control a team of worms, each consisting of four members. The objective is to kill every member of the opposing team(s) within a set time limit per round. Each turn, which lasts from 45 to 100 seconds, a player may move a selected worm and use one or more of the available weapons and tools.

The weapons include simple firearms like the shotgun and uzi, alongside a variety of heavy weapons such as the bazooka (the default selection), cluster grenades and airstrikes. The game also includes a number of 'secret' weapons (available through cheat codes on options screens or 'weapon drops' during the game) such as the Banana Bomb and exploding sheep, for which the series has become famous.

Also available are various tools such as the 'drill', 'blowtorch' and 'girders' - often used to add protection, adding additional strategy elements. The 'ninja rope', 'bungee' and 'teleport' are also available for greater movement across the playing field.

Devil Dice is a unique puzzle game, where the player controls a small devil that runs around a grid covered in large dice. The player can both stand atop dice, and stand on the ground (with the dice towering above). When standing on the dice, the player can move from die to die, or can roll a die in the direction he or she runs, revealing a different face as the die rotates. Creating a group of adjacent dice with identical pips-the size of which must be at least the number of pips-causes those dice to slowly sink into the field before disappearing. Chain reactions are possible by adding additional dice to a sinking set. Different types of dice are available in some modes, with different properties to make the game more challenging.

A 3D puzzle game where you across a gridded landscape (Tron-cycle like) leaving a coloured trail behind you. Any square on the landcsape that you managed to colour on all sides gets claimed by you and earns you points. You're up against a varied number of opponents and the game covers about 50 levels, with the landscapes having different properties and shapes (e.g spherical world landscape). Add to this a bunch of pickups and bonus abilities, and you've got a retro- puzzle game that's a bit fun.

One player's review:
'Live Wire is big, bold and beautiful and for me it was very very addictive. You control fish in various 3D worlds where the land in it is divided into squares. Those squares are the playing field and the object is to run around as many of those squares as possible to turn them into your colour. There's various other tasks you can do to gain points too but its all added together and the one with the most points wins. The 1 player mode is all about unlocking all the levels (some of which are funny and all are imaginative) and each level has a unique problem to get round. In multiplayer mode its frenzied activity as you try to hamper the other fish.
The only drawback I have from the game is that it does have some slowdown when everything is going off at once but it doesn't reduce your enjoyment. A truly unique party game.'

However, the grazing and warm sun caused them to forget their mission and they become domesticated - now we know them as Sheep. An evil scientist wants to use sheep DNA to take control of humanity. You take the role of a Shepard, and it's your task to herd all of the sheep and get them to the spaceship that will take them back to their home planet. You'll have your hands full with 16 levels of intense action. But this is not just a matter of collecting the sheep and getting them to follow you. Walking up to a sheep will make it move, shouting will make all of the sheep scatter, and sneaking will allow you to grab a member of the herd to throw. Getting through all of the stages requires brains, not brawn, in Sheep.

When Lemmings threw itself at our mercy via the computer screen all of those years ago, it changed the industry. For some reason, the idea of saving the little critters was so compelling that everyone was staying up in the wee hours of the morning to try to save that extra little fellow.

Westwood's Command & Conquer series -- born into a great tradition of like RTS experiences first established by the seminal Dune 2 -- has always offered a robust sort of real-time strategy. But while the original C&C often found itself contending with Blizzard's Warcraft brand for supremacy, Red Alert really had no equal. You'll play through 25 humorous missions in the Single Player Campaign mode and declare war on up to four friends with the game's Multiplayer mode. You've got dozens of weapons at your disposal, including cluster grenades, flame-throwers, bazookas, and more. You'll be able to swine armies from America, France, Germany, Japan, Russia, and Britain.

Worms is a turn based artillery game, similar to other early games in the genre such as Scorched Earth. The game is set on a two-dimensional field. The players control a team of worms, each consisting of four members. The objective is to kill every member of the opposing team(s) within a set time limit per round. Each turn, which lasts from 45 to 100 seconds, a player may move a selected worm and use one or more of the available weapons and tools.

The weapons include simple firearms like the shotgun and uzi, alongside a variety of heavy weapons such as the bazooka, cluster grenades and airstrikes. Also available are various tools such as the 'drill', 'blowtorch' and 'girders' - often used to add protection, adding additional strategy elements.

In Mr Driller, your objective is to drill through stacked coloured blocks to the bottom of each level as quickly as you can. Like-coloured blocks bond together and, depending on the path you burrow, will prevent other blocks from falling on your head. Find the air bubbles to keep you alive while you drill for a higher score. You will also find tanks of air down there, but be careful going after them - you could end up squashed by the blocks above.
